  • Lead corrective actions and follow‑up efforts to prevent quality issues from recurring
  • Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, trends, and key performance indicators to leadership
  • Oversee the calibration, maintenance, storage, and documentation of inspection tools and equipment
  • Lead root cause analysis for defects, deviations, and nonconformances

  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to QA team members
  • Conduct performance evaluations using established skills matrices and annual review processes
  • Manage team responsibilities such as PTO requests, timecard approvals, payroll accuracy, attendance expectations, and personnel concerns
  • Coordinate recruiting and onboarding efforts for open QA positions
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard‑free quality work areas
  • Ensure compliance with EMIT’s 5S expectations, safety protocols, GMP standards, and applicable quality requirements
  • Promote a proactive culture of quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience leading quality assurance or quality control activities in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems, inspection procedures, corrective actions, and audit processes
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Familiarity with measuring and inspection equipment, including calibration and documentation requirements

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Ability to repeatedly lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 50–75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the manufacturing facility for an entire shift
  • Ability to wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment
