Material Handler​/Receiving Clerk

Position: MATERIAL HANDLER/RECEIVING CLERK
Job description:
The Material Handler/Receiving Clerk provides customer service to internal and external customers. This individual will move parts and material, load and unload trucks. All parts and material are received correctly, properly staged, marked and readily available for use, and perform duties of a general shop laborer. Complete data entry into computer system of inventory materials to ensure inventory accuracy, perform general clerical duties in an office environment, assist purchasing with receiving PO's, checking in UPS shipments and freight for branch location, and assist Coordination with printing shipping documents.

This individual must demonstrate a strong commitment to L&H values and safety processes

Formal Requirements and Certifications of Job -

Required

• 18 years or older
• Safety Oriented
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literate
• Self-motivated
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Team player
• Ability to learn to operate forklifts, overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
• Driving record acceptable to our insurance
• Ability to use or learn power and hand tools
• Ability to do or learn how to pallet, secure, and cover numerous items to L&H standards
• Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and issuing of parts
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Preferred

• Forklift experience
• Overhead crane experience
• OSHA safety training

Special Demands

• Excellent housekeeping and organizational skills
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
• Lift or carry 60lbs
