The School Director will lead the School Program, ensuring quality, compliance, staff oversight and progress toward goals. This role is essential to advance student success.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure academic policies and curriculum are followed
  • Develop and track benchmarks for measuring institutional success
  • Help teachers maximize their teaching potential
  • Meet with and listen to concerns of students regularly
  • Encourage, guide and assist student leaders and teachers
  • Meet with parents and administrators for problem resolution
  • Enforce discipline when necessary
  • Create an atmosphere free of bias where students can achieve their maximum potential
  • Teach the knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students using SESI instructional models, strategies and curriculum
  • Utilize behavior management and intervention strategies including de‑escalation techniques, crisis management and PBIS strategies
  • Drive, record and track student growth and progress toward academic, social and emotional goals
  • Ensure that all students are being educated in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Observe classrooms regularly both formally (using observation forms) and informally to provide staff feedback
  • Attend and participate in regional activities including the weekly Director’s Meeting
  • Attend and participate monthly in a Goal Review with the Supervisor; demonstrate consistent growth and goal completion
  • Forge and maintain stakeholder relationships (district officials, parents, etc.)
  • Maintain excellent records including financial, state licensing, student and employee documentation
  • Develop, monitor and maintain the school’s budget, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines
  • Analyze profit and loss statements, identify areas for improvement and propose strategies for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
  • Collaborate with the finance department to prepare financial reports and forecasts, providing updates to the school administration
  • Assist in creating and enforcing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Support staff professional development initiatives, identify training needs and organize relevant workshops or programs
  • Manage enrollment processes including admissions, transfers and withdrawals
  • Coordinate daily school operations, ensuring smooth communication among departments
  • Collaboration with facilities management to address maintenance and infrastructure needs
  • Implement systems and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness within the school
  • Organize and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with teachers, parents and stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation of special education services, progress reports and related records
  • Stay updated with best practices and research in special education, ensuring evidence‑based strategy implementation
  • Lead the development and implementation of a school‑wide PBIS program
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers in implementing PBIS practices
  • Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Social or Behavioral Sciences, or a related field required
  • Administration credential preferred
  • Extensive experience with students with disabilities strongly preferred
Compensation

USD $80,000.00 per year – USD $85,000.00 per year
