The position requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects through design, construction, and commissioning. You will act as a trusted advisor and project leader—bridging clients, contractors, engineering teams, and operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Lead project planning, scheduling, and execution for generation facility construction and upgrade programs.
- Develop and manage project scope, budgets, and resource plans; track and mitigate scope changes.
- Coordinate project controls including cost forecasting, schedule performance, and earned-value tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction partners to ensure alignment across all phases of execution.
- Support project reporting and analytics initiatives using digital tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Project.
- Interface with internal operations groups, engineering teams, and external stakeholders to maintain workflow continuity.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, review proposals, and participate in bid evaluations and awards.
- Contribute to long-term work planning, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior project team members on tools, systems, and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 8 years of progressive project management experience within the power generation or utility infrastructure sector.
- Proven background in managing capital projects involving mechanical systems, piping, site development, and balance-of-plant (BOP) components.
- Experience coordinating EPC or multi-contractor construction programs from planning through commissioning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project-tracking and reporting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, budgets, and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience guiding diverse technical and field teams.
- Stable, long-term role in a company recognized for its technical excellence and employee-first culture.
- Competitive total compensation package including fully covered medical benefits.
- Strong 401(k) match and annual profit‑sharing incentives.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact power generation projects that contribute to energy reliability and grid modernization.
