LHH is seeking a Plant Controller / Finance Manager

for a well-established, growth-oriented manufacturing organization. This role is based onsite and will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting experience, a hands‑on approach to financial leadership, and the ability to partner cross-functionally to improve performance and processes.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements, account reconciliations, and compliance with internal controls
  • Implement and monitor cost controls, including budget accountability across departments
  • Oversee inventory and cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and physical inventory
  • Provide financial analysis and insights on operational performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Evaluate capital expenditures and support strategic investment decisions
  • Manage working capital and recommend process improvements to optimize cash flow
  • Partner with plant and operational leadership to support business objectives and long‑term planning
  • Maintain and strengthen internal control systems and financial procedures
  • Lead and develop finance staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing finance or cost accounting
  • Strong knowledge of inventory, standard costing, and financial controls
  • Experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Advanced analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data to leadership
  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
