Metering Welder- 2nd Shift

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Welder – 2nd Shift. The core hours are 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm. The rate for this position is $21.94 per hour plus a $1.20 shift differential per hour. As a Welder you will be responsible for welding assemblies and components using welding equipment. You will interpret drawings and shop orders to perform welding operations accurately and efficiently, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

• Set up, understand, and proficiently operate all welding equipment.
• Troubleshoot various machine problems.
• Identify and tag product with shop orders.
• Retrieve/enter data into the system.
• Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
• Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
• Weld components based on print specifications.
• Perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of weld operations, including MIG, TIG of stainless steel and/or aluminum.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

• Spot‑welding experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
• Able to read, interpret blueprints and use simple measuring tools.

• Ability to lift 50 lb. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lb. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (8–12 hours) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to read blueprints and use simple measuring tools.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and add close attention to detail.
• Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product.
• Ability to reach, grasp and manipulate.
• Requires PPE to include safety glasses, safety‑toe shoes, ear protection, cut‑resistant sleeves, and any other PPE required by the position.
• Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks.
