Machinist; Weekend Shift

Position: Machinist (Weekend Shift)
Emerson has an exciting opportunity in our Sherman, TX, location to join our team as a Weekend Shift Machinist (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6AM-6PM). If you are safety conscious, follow through on commitments, and work well in a team environment, this position is for you.  As a Machinist, you will be responsible for producing parts of a high degree of complexity for the Sherman operations.

** In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:*
* + Producing parts and meeting all specifications and tolerance required from work orders, shop orders, and/or Fisher specifications.

+ Operating any machine, including manual and CNC machines, to its proven capability in a highly productive manner.

+ Coordinating setups and programming issues with machine shop programmers including setting up the part, defining work planes, and managing different geometries.

+ Inspecting all detail parts to ensure operations conform to requirement.

+ Maintaining accurate and detailed records.

+ Reporting status of work using computer input, bar code, or other devices as required.

** For This Role, You Will Need:*
* + High School Diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED)

+ Completion of Machine Shop program at an accredited school or equivalent machining experience.

+ Proficiency with Mastercam.

+ Proficient with the use of manual and CNC machines including ability to read and edit CNC programs.

+ Ability to use micrometers, dial calipers, functional gauges and engineering prints.
