PET​/Injection Machine Operator

Work Shift 8hr-3rd Shift (United States of America)

Location Address 4201 S Highway 75, Sherman, Texas 75090

The PET/Injection Machine Operator will operate machinery to produce pre-forms and/or PET bottles. The operator is also responsible for following our company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
• Operate an injection molding machine to shape plastics.
• Monitor production process and downstream equipment, making process adjustments when needed.
• Verify pre-form attributes using statistical process control techniques.
• Make adjustments to processes and perform quality assurance testing with laboratory equipment.
• Adjust machine settings according to product specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and process problems.
• Perform maintenance on equipment.
• Adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedures.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
• Train other PET/Injection Machine operators.
• Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and other metrics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Formal education or apprenticeship in a related specialty preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
