PET​/Injection Machine Operator

The PET/Injection Machine Operator will operate machinery to produce pre-forms and/or PET bottles. The PET/Injection Machine Operator is also responsible for following the company's Good Manufacturing Practices and ensuring compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.

• Operate an injection molding machine to shape plastics.
• Monitor production process and downstream equipment, making process adjustments when needed.
• Verify pre-form attributes using statistical process control techniques.
• Make adjustments to processes and perform quality assurance testing using laboratory equipment.
• Adjust machine settings according to product specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and process problems.
• Perform maintenance on equipment.
• Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedure.
• Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
• Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
• Train PET/Injection Machine operators.
• Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and other.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Associate's degree is preferred.
• Apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty (preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in the field or a related area.
