CNC Machine Operator – Night Shift
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Sherman, TX. In this role, you will operate CNC machinery to fabricate and machine high-quality steel parts and rail components used in railroad track and turnout assemblies. This is a fantastic temp-to-hire opportunity with a robust benefits package available upon permanent placement.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation:
Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts and rail precisely according to blueprints and technical specifications.Quality & Precision:
Use specialized measuring devices (calipers, tape measures down to the $1/32$ nd) to check part accuracy and mark materials accordingly.G-Code & Offsets:
Read, interpret, and make basic alterations to M & G code; adjust tooling offsets and identify/replace worn or damaged inserts.Material Handling:
Safely operate overhead cranes to move heavy rail components through the production area.Documentation:
Complete clear, legible production reports with high accuracy.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining/operator experience in a heavy manufacturing or fabrication environment (Multi-axis machining experience is highly preferred).Technical
Skills:
Proven ability to read calipers and tape measures down to $1/32$ nd, alter M/G codes, and manage tooling offsets.Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask with minimal supervision, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.Safety: A comprehensive understanding of safe work practices in a heavy industrial setting.
Pre-Employment Screening:
