Pay Rate: $21.00/hr (base) + $1.35/hr (shift premium)

Position:
Injection Mold Machine Operator (PET Machine Operator)
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
- Operate an injection molding machine in order to shape plastics.
- Monitor production process and downstream equipment and make process adjustments when needed.
- Verify pre-form attributes with the use of statistical process control techniques.
- Make adjustments to processes and perform quality assurance testing using laboratory equipment.
- Adjust machine settings to meet product specification.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical and process problems.
- Perform maintenance on equipment.
- Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedure.
- Repair or replace pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
- Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.
- Prepare & document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent (AS degree is preferred).
- Prefer an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the area of specialty.
- 1-3 years of PET/injection machine operation experience.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Experience with machine maintenance.
- Basic mathematical and computer experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
- Physical stamina and strength; able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work overtime.
Completion of Altium Machine Operator 1 training within 90 days of hire date.

While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
