ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assesses and evaluates patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
• Develops, discusses, and communicates a plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/family to address identified needs.
• Evaluates the patient’s response to the care provided; modifies care upon response elicited.
• Coordinates nursing care and patient/family education for psychiatric patients through the use of the nursing process.
• Travels to other facilities as needed and/or as instructed.
• Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to policies, procedures, and processes.
• Performs other job duties as needed and/or as assigned.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing, substance disorders, and/or behavioral health is preferred.
• Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and intermediate knowledge of electronic medical record documentation/utilization in a paperless setting.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.

• Must hold a current state Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification is required upon hire.
• De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
