ER RN Supervisor – Full Time – North Texas
The role leads the Emergency Department, overseeing nursing staff and maintaining high-quality patient care while continuing hands-on clinical duties. It offers a leadership position with competitive pay of up to $45 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead daily operations and clinical oversight of the Emergency Department
- Supervise, support, and mentor ER nurses and clinical staff
- Coordinate patient flow, staffing assignments, and departmental operations
- Deliver direct emergency nursing care when required
- Respond promptly to emergency and high-acuity patient situations
- Assist with triage, assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and emergency interventions
- Ensure nursing practices comply with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety requirements
- Facilitate onboarding, orientation, education, and development of Emergency Department staff
- Manage scheduling and staffing coverage for the department
- Promote clear communication among nursing staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Support performance management, staff coaching, and employee development
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Active Texas Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License
- Previous Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in high-acuity situations
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Skills:
- Previous Charge RN, Lead RN, Supervisor, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
- BSN preferred
- PALS certification preferred or required based on facility guidelines
- TNCC certification preferred
- Additional emergency nursing certifications are a plus
- Experience in a rural, community, or critical access hospital setting is a plus
- Earn up to $45/hour
