Overview
At Sparklight, a Cable One brand, we keep our customers and associates connected to what matters most. As a Sparklight Field Technician, you will help your community stay connected by installing services, completing repairs, and relocating equipment across residential and commercial properties. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities- Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
- Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot customer service drops or outlets, diagnose and repair reception performance issues, and resolve all problems from the customer’s equipment to the distribution amplifier.
- Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination on the customer’s premises.
- Proactively suggest upgrades of existing services and educate customers on the use of their new or existing equipment.
- Assist with other duties needed to help drive company Purpose, fulfill Brand Principles, and abide by Organization’s Value.
- Valid driver’s license in the state you are applying and a good driving record.
- Aptitude and ability to learn to use RF, digital and Volt-Ohm meters and other related equipment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and on-call as needed.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to listen to customers and present solutions positively.
- Ability to work in small and confined areas; lift up to 80 lbs.; work on a ladder; and work in all weather conditions.
- Minimum 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
- High school diploma or GED.
