** Job Summary  The Craft Helper assists skilled craft workers (e.g., welders, pipe fitters, electricians) with various tasks on construction sites, ensuring efficient operations and a safe working environment. This entry-level position is crucial for supporting project success and gaining valuable experience in industrial construction.
Responsibilities    Transport and stage materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
Clean and prepare work sites, including debris removal, sweeping, and maintaining a tidy environment.
Assist craftspeople by holding materials, handing tools, and performing basic tasks as directed.
Operate small hand and power tools under supervision.
Support the assembly and disassembly of temporary structures, scaffolding, and work platforms.
Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures diligently.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Learn and develop new skills by observing and assisting experienced craft workers.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project needs.
Qualifications    High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior experience in construction or industrial settings is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout the workday.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Basic understanding of construction site safety is beneficial.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Reliable transportation to and from the job site in Sherman, Texas.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
