Job Overview
As a Carpenter at Primoris Energy Services, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials, primarily on industrial and commercial construction projects.
Job Responsibilities- Accurately interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine dimensions and materials required.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, drywall, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, frames, and trim.
- Erect, level, and install various types of forms for concrete pours, including foundations, walls, and slabs.
- Build and install scaffolding, shoring, and other temporary structures.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other construction team members, including laborers, electricians, and plumbers.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in an industrial or commercial construction setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, methods, and procedures.
- Expertise in operating various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and join materials.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working at heights.
- Understanding of construction site safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
