Are you an experienced driver who thrives on hands-on work and enjoys variety in your day? Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Class A CDL driver for immediate direct hire—meaning you'll be brought on as a permanent employee from day one.
Location:
Sherman, TX
Schedule:
First Shift (Day) Monday – Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay:
Mid- $20s per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual transmission semi-trucks, primarily flatbeds and roll-off trailers.
- Secure loads on flatbed trailers using chains, binders, and straps to ensure safe transport.
- Actively participate in loading and unloading materials – you'll be trained and expected to operate forklifts and sky tracks when not behind the wheel.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties when you're not driving.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all equipment.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation (driver logs, trip reports, DVIRs).
- Work closely with the shop to schedule vehicle maintenance.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years recent over-the-road tractor trailer experience (flatbed or roll-off a plus).
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is a must.
- Comfortable with operating forklifts and telehandler/skytrak and willing to load/unload trucks.
- Must be at least 25 years old and able to meet DOT compliance requirements.
- Strong work ethic and engaging personality.
- Attention to detail, especially with paperwork and safety protocols.
- Must be physically able to climb onto trailers and secure heavy loads.
- A current TWIC is preferred but not required.
