Position: Intermediate Environmental Professional )

Job Overview

Intermediate Environmental Professional positions will collaborate with clients and staff to design work plans, coordinate subcontractors, lead fieldwork and support project managers with program execution. The role requires 5+ years of relevant consulting experience, particularly in the upstream Oil and Gas sector across Alberta and Saskatchewan, and a diploma or degree in environmental science or a related field. Field‑based projects involve travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coordinate and execute assessment and remediation programs, including Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and remediation across Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Coordinate and execute reclamation programs across Alberta and Saskatchewan, including surface reclamation and Direct Soil Amendments (DSAs).
  • Manage cost tracking, scheduling and project coordination.
  • Prepare technical reports for Alberta and Saskatchewan, including Phase 1 and 2 ESAs, remediation reports and DSAs.
  • Implement and adhere to corporate and client safety programs.
  • Apply strong organizational skills to ensure timely and successful completion of project requirements.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in environmental science/engineering or a related field, with a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Eligibility to obtain or hold a professional designation in a relevant province (e.g., PAg, P.Geo., P.Eng. or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan contamination and environmental regulations, with proven field skills in soil characterization and sampling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizations.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental assessments, remediation, and technical reporting.
  • Strong problem‑solving, initiative, and relationship building within diverse teams.
  • Experience leading fieldwork and technical reporting is preferred.
