As the Team Lead in Forensic Biology, you will oversee daily operations of the new Alberta Forensic DNA Laboratory. Your responsibilities include coordinating casework, managing workflows, and ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards. Prior experience in forensic DNA analysis and supervisory skills are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support design and implementation of forensic DNA methods
• Manage daily forensic biology casework and resource allocation
• Monitor lab productivity and quality assurance compliance
• Oversee evidence handling and documentation practices
• Provide technical oversight and casework review
Requirements:
• PhD in forensic science or related field with 5+ years experience
• Minimum 3 years of human DNA casework proficiency
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in laboratory settings
• Strong understanding of forensic DNA standards
• Eligibility to provide expert courtroom testimony
