Vertex seeks a full-time Hydrogeologist in Sherwood Park or Calgary, Alberta. This role focuses on groundwater monitoring, aquifer testing, and contaminant hydrogeology expertise.
The successful Hydrogeologist will hold an Sc. or M.Sc. and have 3-5 years of project experience. Candidates are preferred to have Alberta experience and must possess a professional designation with APEGA or APEGS. You will manage projects, lead teams, and carry out hydrogeological assessments, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical expertise on hydrogeology projects
• Develop and manage project-specific budgets
• Supervise and train staff on groundwater monitoring
• Lead borehole drilling and installation of monitoring wells
• Analyze hydrogeological data for report preparation
Requirements:
• Sc. or M.Sc. in Hydrogeology or related field
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in hydrogeology
• Professional designation (or eligibility) with APEGA/APEGS
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations
• Ability to work legally in Canada without restrictions
