We are seeking a hands‑on Product Design Engineer to develop and improve mechanical products from initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, and production.
Key Requirements- Proven experience taking mechanical products from concept through production
- Strong proficiency with Solid Works
- Experience designing sheet metal and/or injection‑molded plastic components
- Strong understanding of DFM/DFA principles
- Experience creating detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and production documentation
- Experience with tolerance stack-ups and basic FEA, stress, and thermal analysis
- Hands‑on experience with prototyping, testing, validation, and design troubleshooting
- Ability to work closely with manufacturing teams and suppliers to resolve design and production issues
- Experience with airflow, ventilation, fans, HVAC, or related mechanical products is highly desirable
- Lean/Six Sigma or continuous‑improvement experience is a plus
- Design and develop new mechanical products and components
- Create and revise 3D models, drawings, and BOMs
- Build and evaluate prototypes
- Perform product testing and design validation
- Support the transition of new designs into manufacturing
- Troubleshoot product and production issues
- Improve existing products for performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost
