Job Description

Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), providing GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position supports DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services from the 24x7 DISA Global Operations Center (DGOC) at Scott AFB, IL.

Shift work to include nights and weekend duty is required. The role involves extended periods of sitting while using a computer or phone, and speaking with customers.

• Create, update, and resolve problems and issues using service knowledge and the Service Now platform.
• Notify necessary points of contact based on essential or heightened awareness network, circuit or location incidents.
• Execute network operations including configuration and analysis of customer circuits across Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) and Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) trunks.
• Work directly with customers, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure maximum network availability and minimize mission impact.
• Proactively monitor network alarms using platform‑specific network management tools.
• Provide global situational awareness support to all customers.
• Verify service restoration after resolving customer‑initiated tickets.
• Provide timely situational awareness to leadership and affected communities.
• Record, assess, track, and monitor incident tickets escalated to operational infrastructure.
• Document outages, degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions using incident management applications.
• Perform configuration maintenance on route plans, route lists, device profiles, calling search spaces, and route partitions.
• Assess, identify, and recommend resolutions to network incidents and configuration deficiencies.
• Develop and recommend solutions and processes for UC and DRSN operations.

• Hold DoD‑8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
• Ability to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
• General understanding of voice infrastructure and IP network topologies.

• Tech control facility or cyber transport experience.
• Circuit actions experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Experience with alarm surveillance, call routing, SIP, media call flow, packet capture analysis, or Juniper IP technologies.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, crypto devices, Cisco, Juniper, video teleconferencing, voice services, EVoIP/ECVoIP, VoSIP, fly‑away kits, Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN), DSN Core.

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Pay Range $48,100.00 – $86,950.00.
