- Provide Tier 2 technical support for end users in classified and unclassified environments, monitoring and troubleshooting the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Data Environment & Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) production applications.
- Respond to incidents generated by system users through support tickets, email, phone, and in‑person.
- Provide technical guidance and instructions to users for handling software issues.
- Diagnose and solve hardware/software faults.
- Test and evaluate new technologies to improve or update existing context.
- Run reports on overall system performance and usage.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as web designers, product managers, and QA team.
- Maintain clear, well‑documented records of customer queries while updating and managing internal IT procedures and self‑service documentation to support common user issues.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and/or Leadership.
- 2+ years of related professional experience.
- Must meet DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) / 8140 requirements by holding either of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution. - Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (any field) and an active Cloud+, SSCP, Security+, or GSEC certification.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance, granted by the US Government, which requires US citizenship.
- This role is mission‑essential and onsite full‑time at Scott AFB, operating in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment with a 4‑day workweek (10‑hour shifts) upon full qualification. The selected candidate will begin with hands‑on, on‑the‑job training (OJT) during day shift hours before transitioning to an independent schedule, likely Friday‑Monday from 3:00 PM–1:00 AM CST with some flexibility, and must be willing to support shift coverage as needed.
- Experience with scripting and systems technologies, including Power Shell, Bash, or Python, as well as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM).
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network issues, with the ability to clearly document and follow technical procedures.
- Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.
- Hands‑on experience working in Linux environments.
- Familiarity with or prior support of USTRANSCOM systems.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
