Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Assistant Manager, ED - Emergency Department - $84K-128K per year

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh serve the Shiloh, Illinois area. This position is for an RN Assistant Manager in the Emergency Department.

Role Purpose

Coordinates patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical accumulation for the ED.

Responsibilities
  • Manages hires, training, assignments, performance evaluation, and professional development for staff.
  • Ensures departmental productivity and operation goals meet overall staff performance.
  • Participates in staffing, revenue and expense budgeting and adheres to those goals.
  • Oversees patient care according to intervention plans, documentation, and collaborative care planning.
  • Reviews staff hours vs scheduled hours, approves payroll updates, reconciles time cards, respects coding and bonus tracking.
  • Prepares staff communications, huddle agendas, and leads meetings.
  • Determines staffing needs, nursing assignments, overtime, and recommends annual increases.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and recommends improvements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; 2-5 years of experience.
  • Experience:

    Supervisor experience not required.
  • Licenses &

    Certifications:

    Registered Nurse.
Preferred Requirements
  • Education:

    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Supervisor

    Experience:

    Less than 2 years.
