Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care. The MHE Family Care Birthing Center Labor & Delivery provides admission, medical care, transfer or discharge of obstetric and neonatal patients.

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

• Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on management of illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team and patients/families/caregivers, complying with guidelines and standards.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of plan of care across continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care.
• Shows safety-sensitivity, maintains alertness and safe manner.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate’s in Nursing
• Experience:

• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, less than 2 years of experience
