Location: Shiloh, IL
Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing
Pay: $1,923 to $2,046 per week
Shift Information: Nights – 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

About the PositionFusion Medical Staffing seeks a Med/Surg RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Shiloh, Illinois. The role involves comprehensive patient‑centered care in medical‑surgical and telemetry units, assessing conditions, monitoring telemetry data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Applicants should be committed to patient safety and professional ethics.
Required Qualifications- Minimum one year of recent Med‑Surg or Telemetry RN experience
- Active RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- NIHSS certification
- ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Other relevant certifications and licenses
- Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments
- Maintain safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures
- Document comprehensive patient information in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing care based on acuity and clinical needs
- Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed
- Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate transitions from hospital to home
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Physical Abilities – remain stationary, move about, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Interpersonal Skills – work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude, and professionalism
- Technical/Motor Skills – grasp, perform fine manipulation, move during procedures or equipment use
- Mental Requirements – cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration to detail
