Position: Clinical Nurse - Rapid Response/Code Team (Nights)



Role Overview
The Rapid Response/Code Team Clinical Nurse acts as a hospital-wide resource, responding to emergency situations such as Code Blue, Code White, CAT events, and traumas. They provide guidance and education to staff on less familiar procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality care.

The Rapid Response/Code Team Clinical Nurse acts as a hospital-wide resource, responding to emergency situations such as Code Blue, Code White, CAT events, and traumas. They provide guidance and education to staff on less familiar procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency codes and crises across the facility.
  • Serve as a clinical resource, offering staff guidance and education on procedures.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within nursing standards.
  • Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
  • Participate in activities supporting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and communicate individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
  • Use critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, respecting cultural and personal values.


Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care or Emergency Department experience.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • RN licensure required.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor's degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a safety-sensitive role.
