Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develops individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, considering physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate patient conditions and ensure clear communication across care continuum.

• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care, educating patients and families on post-treatment needs.
• Participate in safety initiatives, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
• Develop, implement, and document care plans with clear goals, coordinating with the team and patients.
• Assess physical and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to care.
• Maintain awareness of safety-sensitive responsibilities, working alertly and safely at all times.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree required;
  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Valid RN license; CPR certification preferred.
• Experience:
  
  No experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles.
