Job Description:

This position requires night shift work. The Maintenance Mechanic’s primary responsibility is to perform maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance (PMs), and equipment modifications related to production processes and facilities, following food safety, health and safety procedures, and maintenance administration procedures (e.g., filling out work orders and PM information).

• Perform all planned maintenance (preventive & predictive) in a timely manner and log all activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including planned, reactive, and emergency work.
• Repair equipment and capture detailed root cause analysis and countermeasures; communicate findings to management and peers.
• Provide effective and timely on-floor support to maintenance department members, including regular, off-shift, and weekend coverage as required.
• Assist in ongoing improvement of the work order system.
• Work with the maintenance and engineering team to implement permanent solutions for equipment and process problems.
• Support the development and documentation of maintenance procedures, one-point lessons, and a competency-based training program.
• Work as a team member on small and large technical projects.
• Perform additional work as required.

• Licensed millwright (e.g., 433A), Technician or Technologist degree or diploma related to maintenance/engineering, with a preference for electrical, mechanical and robotics specialization.
• Ability to work with CMMS, complete planned maintenance tasks, generate and close work orders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-intensity environment.
• Strong communication, learning and teaching skills; strong team player.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical periodicals, procedures, engineering drawings, and government regulations.
• Highly motivated with the ability to conduct root cause analysis to identify permanent countermeasures.
• Strong MS Excel skills and working knowledge of the MS Office suite.
