Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
Nature and Scope:
The Material Handler performs the movement of work in progress products through the various stages of manufacturing.
- Utilize the warehouse mobility system to track and log the movement of material from warehouse through manufacturing.
- Accurately complete all documentation associated with tasks performed.
- Keep work and staging areas clean and orderly.
- Follow directives issued by leads and supervisors.
- Prioritize and complete required tasks efficiently.
- Perform routine cleaning of the production area using various cleaning agents; don necessary PPE when required.
- Properly dispose of refuse and waste.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMP & cGMP).
- Perform duties according to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform any other tasks or duties assigned by management.
- Maintain inventory of scrubs, garments, and PPE.
- Transfer required paperwork and components throughout required areas.
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock while keeping accurate records.
- Be willing to work overtime as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Warehouse or similar experience (preferred).
- Power jack/Lift jack certification (preferred).
- Computer proficiency – able to read, write, and count.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, and protective gloves.
- Use of pallet or hand jack to move material.
- Lift 10 pounds repeatedly for 5–6 hours.
- Lift 11–25 pounds occasionally for 1–2 hours.
- Lift up to 50 pounds routinely.
Expected Hourly Rate: $20.55. This rate is provided in good faith and may vary based on qualifications, experience, and other factors.
