The New York Cancer Foundation provides financial support to cancer patients across New York State, helping to reduce the burden of treatment-related costs. Since 2016, the Foundation has been a resource for those undergoing cancer care.

* Position Overview:

The New York Cancer Foundation has been awarding grants to patients currently under treatment for cancer since 2016. Our goal is to relieve some of the financial burden patients are facing so they may focus on their  healing.
**** In This Role, You Will:**
* ** Support and oversee the grant application process for our grant recipients from beginning to end. This includes calling patients, documenting and reporting on workflow and processing checks for distribution for approved grants.**
* ** Supervisor will also be included in Foundation special event support, cultivation activities, and internal and external promotion of the Foundation to patients, and those that support patients care and treatment.**
* ** Respond to patient calls and emails including Uber Health rides**
* ** Report data and statistics weekly and monthly to Executive Director and Foundation Grant Manager**
* ** Handling and overseeing applicant grant processing including timely correspondence with inquiries, offer support, and help with application process.**
* ** Support the staff with any issues.**
* ** Manage financial grant disbursements so as not to exceed total grant amount**
* ** Report data and statistics weekly and monthly to Executive Director**
* ** Provide data review for Quarterly Board meeting presentations**
* ** Troubleshoot with team to create efficiencies where applicable**
* ** Mentor and train staff – coordinate team attendance and vacations, promote career path and positive culture**
* ** Seek out volunteers online and through partner collaboration**
* ** Other duties as requested by Executive Director.
**** Requirements:**
* ** Bachelor Degree preferred.**
* ** Three to five years of relevant work experience, ideally including grant administration, and familiarity with nonprofit organizations.**
* ** Previous association management experience and familiarity with nonprofit boards of directors a plus.**
* ** Outstanding interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.**
* ** Computer proficiency and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and timeline.**
* ** An acute attention to detail and accuracy on outputs.**
* ** Able to work successfully in a team environment.**
* ** Must be able to handle and comfort cancer patients during a difficult time.**
* ** May be needed to attend events on evenings or weekends.
