Custodial Specialist II (On-Call) – CRISTA Ministries
Location: Shoreline, WA
Employment Status: Part Time
Compensation: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour, DOE

Position SummaryThe Environmental Specialist II is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and visitors. The role involves routine and specialized cleaning tasks, including trash disposal, supply replenishment, floor care, deep cleaning assignments, and furniture movement to support facility activities. Compliance with safety and cleaning protocols, proper handling of chemicals, and prompt reporting of maintenance or safety concerns are essential responsibilities.
EssentialFunctions
- Daily cleaning, disinfection, trash disposal, recycling, and supply replenishment according to procedures.
- Operate backpack vacuum, floor care equipment, and carpet extractor for carpets and hard surfaces.
- Set up and take down furniture for assigned activities.
- Properly use and maintain equipment and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Monitor areas for unsafe or broken items, report to area lead or supervisor.
- Follow all directions, rules, and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Report maintenance needs promptly and respond with urgency.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior; committed Christian focused on personal spiritual growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of professional or commercial cleaning experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to read and write English, understand written and verbal instructions, and complete tasks timely.
- Dependable and punctual with a high level of personal appearance per CRISTA standards.
- Adherence to safety procedures, ensuring personal and others’ safety.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
