Position Summary

The Social Media Content Creator focuses primarily on content capture, trend‑driven ideation, and video production for social platforms. This role is responsible for producing high‑quality visual and video assets that support CRISTA’s social media presence, while collaborating closely with the Social Media Manager regarding posting, scheduling, and analytics. It is a strong visual storyteller, staying ahead of digital trends, knows how to capture authentic moments, and can turn raw footage into engaging, short‑form content that reflects CRISTA’s Christ‑centered mission.

Essential

Functions Content Capture & Production
  • Capture high‑quality photo and video content at CRISTA programs, events, ministry locations, and spontaneous moments in the field.
  • Record interviews, b‑roll, testimonials, and behind‑the‑scenes content to support storytelling needs.
  • Capture short and long‑form videos optimized for platforms like Instagram Reels, You Tube Shorts, Tik Tok, Facebook, and streaming platforms.
Video Editing & Creative Execution
  • Independently edit video content using current best practices for pacing, subtitles, framing, and sound.
  • Apply brand‑consistent visual treatments, basic motion graphics, and music where appropriate.
  • Adapt long‑form footage into multiple short‑form assets.
Trend & Platform Awareness
  • Stay current on social media trends, formats, sounds, and editing styles relevant to the feed for service audiences.
  • Proactively pitch content ideas and creative approaches based on emerging trends.
  • Help ensure CRISTA’s content feels timely, relatable, and platform‑native.
Collaboration & Support
  • Partner closely with the Social Media Manager to deliver polished content assets for scheduled posting.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team and ministry leaders to plan content capture needs.
  • Support broader storytelling efforts across marketing campaigns when needed (e.g., testimonials, promotional clips).
Conduct

Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).

  • Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g., daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
  • Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
  • Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
  • Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
  • Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
  • Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
Experience
  • Demonstrated experience creating photo and video content for social media. Ability to capture high‑quality content using cameras and/or mobile devices. Comfortable being behind the camera and in‑front of it.
Software / Equipment Knowledge
  • Experience with Capcut, Tik Tok Studio, Descript, Higgsfield or similar.
Other Considerations
  • Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions. (WAC 388‑113).
  • Position will require frequent work hours at events or other activities outside of normal business hours and/or on weekends.
Preferred Qualifications Education
  • Bachelors in Digital Media & Communications or similar. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year‑for‑year basis.
Experience
  • Proven experience running multiple social media accounts with strong growth trajectory.
