ADT is currently seeking a bright and assertive Tech Engineer Team Manager to lead a dynamic team of 10 to 15 Tech Engineers, a hybrid sales & technical workforce whose core responsibilities include conducting in‑home consultative walk‑throughs, providing onboarding & installation experiences, and generating sales and install appointments.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and manage the activities of the High‑Volume TE Design Specialists within a designated geographic footprint.
- Train, mentor, develop, motivate, and coach Tech Engineers to generate leads, upsell equipment, conduct consultative customer experiences, and install smart home products.
- Curate relationships between new customers and the ADT brand; take ownership in understanding and communicating ADT’s Smart Home solutions.
- Recruit and hire new Tech Engineers as required.
- Formulate a sound business plan to provide cost‑efficient service for targeted growth in accordance with established plans and market‑share targets.
- Conduct team huddles and staff meetings to communicate policies, procedures, new products, services, promotions, and advertising.
- Conduct regular coaching and formal performance‑management conversations with Tech Engineers.
- Ensure high quality and timely job completions for maximum customer retention.
- Model and champion ADT values and create a safe environment for discussion and resolution of values‑related issues.
3 to 5 years of people‑leadership experience with direct experience managing customer‑facing team members in a fast‑paced, high‑volume sales environment.
Skills- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with firsthand experience in consultative selling and educating customers.
- Highly analytical and strong conceptual problem‑solving abilities.
- Driven and entrepreneurial with ability to manage a diverse team and achieve budgeted targets with minimal oversight.
Associate degree or equivalent related experience.
Pay And Benefits DisclosureBase Salary: $53,667 a year
Earning potential: Based on performance, including salary and commission, targeting an earning potential of $125,000 with monthly auto allotment and mileage reimbursement.
