Engineer I at TSI

The Manufacturing Engineer provides floor support for assigned value streams. Typical responsibilities may include plant layout, production methods and standards, costs and quality controls, and continuous improvement projects. Duties and responsibilities are low to moderate in complexity.

What Will You Do?
  • Interface with ERP System (SAP) to prepare new and revise existing manufacturing documents, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) used to manufacture and test instruments.
  • Solve daily manufacturing issues, implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and implement suggestions to improve manufacturing workflow.
  • Investigate and resolve supplier quality issues and customer complaints.
  • Respond to corrective actions and feedback that relates to the production floor to solve customer needs.
  • Participate in structured problem solving (8‑D) teams and Kaizen events in assigned area.
  • With supervision, perform analysis on data sets.
  • Train manufacturing staff on changes to manufacturing processes in assigned area.
  • Participate on cross‑functional project teams that require coordinating with staff from engineering, quality, production control, inventory, and purchasing.
  • Become familiar with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Complete other assignments as requested.
What Do You Need?
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial) or related discipline.
  • 0 to 3 years manufacturing engineering experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, manufacturing engineering concepts and procedures.
  • Knowledge of design, testing and troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledge of Creo Parametric design software.

Competitive market salary from $80,000 - $86,000 per year
* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
