Senior Software Engineer; Onsite in MN

Nextek, LLC is a fully functioning software development company in the financial services industry. Nextek creates software applications and solutions to serve the needs of enrolled Financial Services Professionals.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications
• Build and support systems used by financial services professionals
• Architect and manage relational databases
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement new technology solutions
• Communicate directly with end clients and vendors when needed
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and scalability
• Lead by example and help guide best practices within the engineering team
• Work independently while contributing to team objectives

• 5+ years of professional software development experience – Required
• Strong experience with .NET / C# – Required
• Experience with Laravel / PHP – Required
• Experience working with SQL Server and/or MySQL – Required
• Experience building and deploying applications in AWS – Required
• Experience managing and architecting relational databases – Required
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and evolving environment – Required
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills – Required
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly – Required
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects – Required
• Experience with Microsoft Azure - Preferred
• Knowledge of the financial services industry - Preferred
• Confidence presenting technical concepts or participating in public‑facing discussions - Preferred
• Experience working with client‑facing technology platforms - Preferred
