Clinic Overview
The Multispecialty Clinic at Short Pump Pavilion is home to a variety of specialties including Interventional Pain Management, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Rheumatology, Weight Loss, Bariatrics, Plastic Surgery, Surgery Oncology, Colorectal Surgery, Acute Care/Trauma and Wound Care. Our patients require care for a range of pain and mobility issues and some require medical and surgical management. We’re a team of 20 consisting of RNs, LPNs and CMAs and we collaborate with our physicians and patient access teams to meet the needs of our patients.
The clinic is open Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 5pm with some flexibility; no nights, weekends, or holidays are required. Parking is free onsite.
The LPN role is to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the healthcare team with preventing illness and injury, maintaining wellness, and providing comfort. It also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN delivers and accurately documents direct, age‑specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
This role safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and/or interactions.
- Assist in prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness and provision of comfort.
- Deliver direct patient care and accurately document care based on medical orders.

- Follow documented physician or licensed provider orders and practice guidelines.
License, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire:
Licensure, certification or registration varies depending on the incumbent’s employment background and transitional assignment; LPN licensure in Virginia. Current LPN Licensure in Virginia.
AHA BLS Certification or equivalent.
Requirements- Experience required: varies based on transitional duty assignment.
- Experience preferred: experience as an LPN in either an acute care setting or as applicable to area of practice.

Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing. - Preferred: N/A
Physical:
Lifting 50–100lbs. Prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, frequent bending, walking (distance), climbing (steps, ladder), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive).
Mental/Sensory:
Strong recall, reasoning, problem solving, hearing, speaking clearly, writing legibly, reading, logical thinking.
Emotional:
Steady pace, frequent and intense customer interactions, noisy environment, able to adapt to frequent change.
Serves age groups as appropriate based on transitional duty assignment.
