  ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate or advanced Fetal Monitoring
• Bed count: 7 L&D beds; 2 Triage beds; 10 Postpartum beds
• Births per day: 1-3 births per day
• Average annual births: ~830 per year
• Ratios:
  Typically 1:2
• Experience requirements: 3+ years of experience; C-section experience required
• Support staff on unit:
  Patient Care Technician, Health Unit Secretary, OB scrub tech, HUC
• Clinical capabilities:
  Proficiency in fetal monitoring and actions for fetal distress; care for patients with pre-eclampsia; high-risk obstetrics background
• Cross-unit work:
  May float to other hospital units (usually Med/Surg) if needed
• Care model:
  Function in L&D and couplet care
