Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

$2448.00/week

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery unit to provide high-quality maternity care. The candidate will manage obstetric patients, monitor fetal well-being, and respond to emergencies with proficiency in high-risk obstetrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to obstetric and postpartum patients, including monitoring fetal distress and managing high-risk cases.
  • Perform assessments, recognize complications such as pre-eclampsia, and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with support staff and providers to ensure safe delivery and postpartum care.
  • Maintain proficiency in fetal monitoring and respond effectively to fetal distress situations.
  • Document patient care accurately and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Float to other units, such as Med Surg or ED, as needed and when experienced.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid RN license with at least 3 years of clinical experience, including labor and delivery.
  • Demonstrate C-section experience and proficiency with high-risk obstetrics.
  • Proficient in fetal monitoring and management of obstetric emergencies.
  • Possess current ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications, and intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring skills.
  • Experienced in caring for patients with pre-eclampsia and high-risk conditions.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible floating to support staffing needs.
