IMC/PCU/Stepdown Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and effective communication. Adapt to dynamic clinical environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans tailored to acute and stepdown care needs.
• Monitor vital signs, interpret telemetry data, and validate monitor techs' assessments to ensure accurate patient status.
• Administer medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, Bumex, Lasix, Integrillin, Octreotide, and Protonix, adhering to safety protocols.
• Manage ventilator support and high-flow oxygen therapy, and provide care for COVID-19 patients as needed.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, respiratory therapists, and support staff to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies.
• Document patient responses and interventions accurately, maintaining compliance with hospital policies.

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Bring 1-2 years of recent experience in acute Med Surg or telemetry units; 2+ years preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including validation of monitor tech interpretation.
• Hold current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and team collaboration skills.
