Qualifications
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS and TNCC required
- 1 years RN experience
- 30 ER rooms all private, which includes a six room EDOU observation unit.
- 6 fast track beds with a PA to handle minor non-urgent issues
- 1 seclusion room plus an additional 5 monitored rooms
- 1:3 or 1:4 nurse to patient ratio
- Average of 100 patients seen per day
- Common types of patients seen:
All including trauma/cardiac/neuro - EMR:
Allscripts - Sunrise - Scrub color: anything except all black
- Scrubs not provided
Provide expert adult and pediatric emergency care during day and night shifts.
Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs under high-acuity conditions.
Demonstrate accountability for own performance within a metrics-driven environment.
Maintain strict infection control, safety, and quality standards.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EHRs.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
Identify opportunities for professional development and pursue skill advancement.
Adhere to hospital policies and regulatory requirements during all shifts.
Utilize evidence-based protocols to standardize emergency care processes.
Educate patients and families about treatments, discharge plans, and follow-up.
Participate in performance reviews and contribute to pipeline-based planning for staffing needs.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
