American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring strong neuro and cardiac skills.

• 24-bed Med Surg unit with telemetry capability on all beds, heavy tele focus
• Acute care setting at a Level 3 trauma facility
• Adult patient population; pediatric patients are assigned to permanent staff only
• Nurse to patient ratios of 1:5 days and 1:6 nights, adjusted based on acuity
• 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Float requirement to all Med Surg units and ICU for overflow patients
• Uses Sunrise Allscripts EMR
• Support staff includes tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
• 24/7 in-house hospitalist, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support
• No dedicated IV team on the unit

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
• PALS certification preferred
• Strong neuro and cardiac nursing skills required
• BSN not required

• Provide Med Surg and telemetry nursing care to an adult patient population
• Nurse managers conduct rounds but do not provide direct patient care
• Scrubs may be any color except all black; scrubs are not provided
• Cancellation policy allows up to 3 cancellations per 13-week assignment
