JOB REQUIREMENTS

You must be 16 years of age or older.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES FOR ALL STORE TEAM MEMBERS
  • Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
  • Prepare product and receive and process telephone orders.
  • Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
  • Clean equipment and facility daily.
TRAINING

Orientation and training provided on the job.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
  • Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
  • Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
  • Make correct monetary change.
  • Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
  • Coordinate motor skills between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
  • Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
WORK CONDITIONS EXPOSURE TO
  • Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
  • In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in the cooler to over 90°F in some work areas.
  • Fumes from food odors.
  • Exposure to cornmeal dust.
  • Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
  • Hot surfaces or tools from ovens up to 500°F or higher.
  • Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
SENSING
  • Talking and hearing on the telephone.
  • Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
  • Depth perception.
  • Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
TEMPERAMENTS

The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS STANDING

Most tasks are performed from a standing position. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks, and linoleum in food process areas. Work surfaces are between 36 and 48 inches high.

WALKING

For short distances and durations.

SITTING

Paperwork is normally completed at a desk or table.

LIFTING
  • Bulk product deliveries twice a week or more; unloading with a hand truck.
  • Cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Cases lifted from floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72 inches high.
CARING
  • Large cans weighing 3 pounds, 7 ounces carried from workstation to storage shelves.
  • Pizza sauce weighing 30 pounds carried from storage to front of store.
  • Trays of dough carried three at a time, each weighing approximately 12 pounds.
PUSHING
  • Move trays on dollies; a stack requires up to 7.5 pounds of force.
  • Trays may also be pulled.
CLIMBING

Infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder to change prices on signs, wash walls, or perform maintenance.

STOUPING/BENDING

Forward bending at the waist is required at pizza assembly station; toe room is present but workers cannot flex knees while standing there.

FORWARD BENDING

Occurs at the front counter, stocking, and pizza assembly; each bout lasts 30–45 seconds and repeats throughout the day.

CROUCHING/SQUATTING

Occasional stock shelves and cleaning low areas.

REACHING
  • Up, down, and forward to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on signs, and lift items from shelves.
  • Downward reach for tasks like scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.
  • Forward reach when obtaining toppings, cleaning, or answering phones.
HAND TASKS

Eye‑hand coordination essential. Frequent use of hands is continuous during the day; manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, and cardboard box assembly require forceful pinching.

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT

Use of pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
