Director of Accounting; Manufacturing

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations and serve as a key financial partner to the business.
This position is based at our Baton Rouge headquarters and will work closely with leaders across the organization, including our Shreveport manufacturing operations.

This role is ideal for a strong accounting leader with deep experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership
. The Director of Accounting will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Executive Leadership to strengthen financial processes, provide meaningful business insight, and support strategic decision-making.

• Lead accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Accounting, Fixed Assets, and Cost Accounting
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and inventory valuation
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Coordinate annual financial audits and partner with external auditors
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to executive leadership
• Partner with Operations to improve inventory accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, and cost controls
• Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and ERP enhancements
• Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team
• Support capital investments, strategic initiatives, and acquisitions as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 5+ years of accounting leadership experience
• Manufacturing experience required, preferably within lubricant, chemical, industrial, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and standard costing
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Experience with ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with conversational AI technologies and applications required
• Experience with agentic AI technologies, tools, or workflows preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
