Job Summary

A local CPA firm in Shreveport, LA is seeking a full-time Tax Accountant to join its public accounting team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 1–2 years of tax or public accounting experience who is ready to build long‑term expertise in individual, business, trust, partnership, and corporate tax work. The Tax Accountant will support a variety of tax preparation, bookkeeping, financial statement, and client service responsibilities in a professional CPA firm environment.

• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, corporations, and partnerships.
• Prepare federal and state tax projections for quarterly estimated payments.
• Prepare franchise tax, personal property tax, and payroll tax returns.
• Prepare or review monthly bookkeeping activity for clients.
• Prepare financial statements and support related accounting work.
• Research and troubleshoot tax and accounting questions to help resolve client issues accurately and efficiently.

• Salary range: $50,000 to $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
