The Station Event Coordinator supports the planning and execution of events hosted at or by the station. This part-time role coordinates logistics, schedules, and on-site support to ensure events run smoothly, represent the station well, and meet audience and partner expectations. The Station Event Coordinator will be able to leverage a robust local network, provide video footage documenting the event, and work closely with News, Sales, and Marketing to maximize sponsor ships & event coverage.
Duties / Responsibilities- Coordinate event logistics, including timelines, vendor needs, supplies, and station branding materials
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact during events; oversee setup, check-in, and breakdown
- Communicate with internal teams (programming, promotions, news, sales, engineering) to align event needs
- Support event marketing efforts by coordinating promotional assets, signage, and giveaways
- Track event details and outcomes (attendance, notes, photos) and provide a post-event recap
- Ensure events follow station policies and basic safety/venue requirements
- 1+ year experience in event coordination, promotions, hospitality, or customer-facing roles (preferred)
- Strong organization, follow-through, and time management skills
- Comfortable working with the public and representing the station professionally
- Ability to lift/carry event materials (often up to 25 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if travel to events is required)
