About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on Mar 2, 2026, and offers a flexible schedule with 40.71 hours of physician coverage, 12 hours of NP/PA support, and 37 hours of scribe support. The ideal candidate will join a high-volume emergency department and contribute expert care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
Provide emergency medical care in a hospital
Deliver patient care alongside a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and scribes
Manage a broad range of emergency cases and acute presentations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Complete necessary documentation and case logs as required
Participate in an interview with the medical director as part of the onboarding process
Additional Information
Active Louisiana medical license required (must be clean with no past actions)
Required certifications:
Board Eligible/Certified in Emergency Medicine, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if not board certified in Emergency Medicine
Must provide CME and case logs for the past 2 years, copies of all education and training diplomas, and relevant licensure documents
ECFMG required if a foreign medical graduate
Additional onboarding requirements include TB results, flu vaccine, health attestation, color photo, social security card, and driver’s license
ABEM certification required
