The duties performed by the Field Inspector are critical in maintaining the integrity of the oil and gas drilling systems and ensuring that operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
Primary Duties- Conducting regular inspections of equipment and sites to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety standards.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations by adhering to safety standards and environmental compliance.
- Identifying and reporting hazards to prevent accidents and operational disruptions.
- Conducting risk assessments to evaluate risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Collaborating with teams to work with operational teams and provide training and support.
- Utilizing advanced inspection tools to enhance the inspection process and ensure thoroughness.
- Proven experience in Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) within the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of industry standards and specifications (API, DS‑1, and related procedures).
- Ability to set up, calibrate, and operate inspection equipment and interpret results accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety practices and risk management in field environments.
- Valid driver’s license (company vehicle may be assigned).
- Ability to pass annual vision and color contrast testing (corrective lenses as required).
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
- Willingness to work in field locations, including drilling and production sites.
