Robotics Engineer

Shreveport, LA – Kaleidoscope Innovation seeks a Robotics Engineer to facilitate the daily operation of Alpha and Beta level work cells and provide onsite software, controls, and hardware support for product tests.

• Support setup and configuration of software and hardware systems.
• Collaborate with and support remote hardware and software development teams, providing local coordination of activities as needed.
• Assist with identification of hardware issues and software bugs; perform root‑cause analysis and install corrective actions.
• Perform planned daily, weekly, and monthly hardware preventive maintenance activities.
• Complete unplanned maintenance or repairs following prescribed instructions.
• Install hardware changes.
• Provide documentation and updates as directed, including data collection, data analysis, and report creation.
• Coordinate, collaborate, and develop relationships with onsite parties to meet priorities and deadlines.

• Early‑stage manipulation work cells requiring onsite engineering resources for the ongoing development of Alpha and Beta work cells.
• Two general technical support roles:
  Field Support Engineer and Field Technician.
• Field Support Engineer – typically a mechanical or electrical engineer with a focus on hardware, familiar with robotic work cells and manufacturing/fulfillment center environments. Responsibilities include daily operation and maintenance, collaboration with remote teams to implement changes, running tests that capture data, and facilitating continuous improvement. Root‑cause analysis focuses on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
• Field Technician – typically a mechanical or electrical engineer technician familiar with robotic work cells and manufacturing/fulfillment center environments. Provides practical, hands‑on support for hardware and software issues in robotic and automated equipment. This role is used once the work‑cell safety system matures to a phase requiring less engineering expertise.
