Design Engineer
The Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, analysis, and implementation of hydraulic systems, components, and drawings used in industrial equipment, fluid power applications, and custom-engineered solutions. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and cost-effective hydraulic solutions.
Responsibilities of the Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Design hydraulic power units, circuits, and fluid power systems.
- Develop hydraulic schematics, layouts, and engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Select and size pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, accumulators, filters, and related components.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, flow analysis, and system performance evaluations.
- Generate bills of materials and technical documentation.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Creating and revising models, drawings and bills of materials for rotating equipment parts and assemblies
- Interfacing daily with Design Team members, Project Managers, and shop and Q.C. personnel.
Qualifications of the Hydraulic Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Design hydraulic power units, circuits, and fluid power systems.
- Develop hydraulic schematics, layouts, and engineering drawings using CAD software.

- Perform hydraulic calculations, flow analysis, and system performance evaluations.

Physical Demand:
Ability to sit using a computer for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions:
90% Office environment 10% Machine/Fab shop
Training/
Certifications:
Engineering Graphics is a plus but not required. CSWA or CSWP a plus but not required.
Shift Time/Overtime:
Day Shift 8am-5pm Overtime with approval.
